Biography - Mae Ba, AFSP
I graduated from Walsh University (North Canton, Ohio) with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management. I spent the first 7 years of my career as a program administrator and customer service manager with Diebold, Incorporated. I have extensive training in business management, operations planning, financial accounting, and marketing. I started with Riley & Associates as a seasonal part-time tax preparer in January 2013, helping to prepare mostly individual tax returns. As soon as the credential became available through the IRS, I became a qualified member of the Annual Filing Season Program, completing several hours of continuing education and passing industry standard exams.
In June 2016, I came on board full-time and find great satisfaction in the work I do and the people I meet, as a staff accountant with Riley & Associates. I've been to training on preparing partnerships and corporate returns, have assisted in non-profit organizations, find trust returns exciting, and have gotten up to speed with QuickBooks Accountant and QuickBooks Online. Learning new tools is very rewarding and of great value when we can share these tools with our client base.
When I'm not crunching numbers, I have a great passion for youth ministry, cooking a new recipe to share with family and friends, and taking creative art classes.
